Software Release 11/21/2022 - v2.0.0 (New Platform Launch)

Issues and bugs fixed

Fixed page freezing and performance issues for large accounts

  • Accounts with over 2000 trackers experienced slow page loading speeds, page freezes, and loss of map functionality, particularly when viewing all trackers on the map.

  • Large accounts with over 2000 trackers now load quickly when navigating different pages of the web app and when loading all trackers on the map.

Fixed inaccurate random location reporting issue

  • This bug affected a population of Protect Plus devices and other device types. Affected devices would report a random location point, often extremely far from the actual device location. This has been fixed.

Fixed shipments feature not providing alerts for shipments running late.

  • Some shipments were not providing alerts when a shipment was running late. This has been fixed.

Fixed shipments feature providing incorrect estimated end time of shipments.

  • Some shipments would show an estimated end time of a shipment too far into the future or an erroneous time/date. This has been fixed to deliver a more accurate estimated shipment end time.

Fixed shipments feature not laying down track or changing status to In Progress when a shipment has initially departed starting geofence.

  • Some shipments would not begin drawing a track line on the map once departing the starting geofence. This has been fixed.

  • Some shipments would not change status to In Progress once the shipment started. This has been fixed.

Fixed 404 error page for users with access to only specific devices

  • Users with access to specific devices would sometimes experience a 404 error on certain web app pages in the legacy application. This has been fixed.

  • Affected users were known as Linked Account users in the legacy application.

Fixed navigation bar disappearing for users with access to only specific devices

  • Users with access to specific devices would sometimes experience the navigation bar disappearing in the web app leading to a loss of app functionality. This has been fixed.

New Features

Improved user management

  • Admin users can now manage all users from one location in the app: Manage > User Access.

  • User management is now simplified under three possible permission types.

  1. Admin user - can manage all devices and manage additional users.

  2. All Devices user - can manage all devices and cannot invite additional users.

  3. Specific Devices user - can manage only specific devices and cannot invite additional users.

Wifi fixes can now be toggled on/off separately from cell fixes.

  • In the legacy platform, cell and wifi fixes could only be toggled on/off using the show cell fixes option in map filters.

  • Cell and wifi fixes now have their own toggle within map filters:
    - Show cell fixes
    - Show wifi fixes

Users can now belong to multiple accounts.

  • A single-user email can belong to multiple accounts and can switch between accounts within the web app. Previously, users could only belong to one account.

Removed 1000 point limit on map

  • For any selected time range when viewing the map, the legacy platform limited visible location points to 1000 points.

  • The 1000-point limitation has been removed to allow visibility of all location points on the map in any selected time range.

Improved purchase workflow

  • Devices are now all shipped with an active subscription without the need for activation and are visible within the tracking app once the device’s first location is reported.

Improved subscriptions management

  • Subscriptions can now be managed within the app: Manage > Subscriptions.

  • A subscription can now only be associated with a single tracker, allowing for easier management of subscriptions.

Improved orders management

Account API keys are now available in the web app

Enhanced Rules Engine UI

  • The "Rules" feature has an updated UI that is easier to use and configure.

New geofence report

  • The option to download a geofence report is now available from the geofences page of the web app.

  • The new geofence report contains information regarding interactions of trackers with geofences. The report includes the device name, geofence name, either enter or exit, and the timestamps of geofence events.

Search is now preserved when returning to search from viewing a single tracker.

  • When searching for a specific string of characters in the main search and then selecting an individual tracker to view, returning to the search page now preserves the original searched string.

Device Notes feature added to the web app.

  • Users can now make notes on specific trackers which show up in the tracker list in the web app and when viewing a particular tracker’s map.

Trackers with inactive subscriptions no longer appear in the web app's main tracker list.

  • Previously, inactive trackers would show in the main tracker list alongside active trackers, and there was no way to remove the inactive trackers from this view.

  • Inactive trackers can instead now be found within the Manage page of the web app. Manage > Subscriptions

Auto-424 devices now send ignition on/off alerts.

  • Ignition alerts are available via email and SMS and can be configured from the Alerts page of the web app.
