The Eco 1 is a compact, single-use shipment tracker designed for end-to-end visibility of high-value or sensitive goods during domestic and international transit. With global LTE and GSM connectivity, Wi-Fi–assisted positioning, and built-in environmental sensors, Eco 1 provides reliable real-time monitoring without requiring device recovery.

Preconfigured reporting behavior, real-time alerting, and an automatic flight-safe mode make Eco 1 ideal for one-way logistics, compliance-sensitive shipments, and long-haul global transport.

🔋 Key Features

  • Disposable, single-use shipment tracker

  • Global LTE and GSM connectivity with Wi-Fi–assisted positioning

  • Monitors temperature, humidity, shock, and ambient light

  • Automatic flight-safe mode during air transport

  • Compact, lightweight design for easy packaging integration

  • Global coverage across 210+ countries and 600+ networks

Quick note: Shock and ambient light data are collected by the device but are not yet visible in the GPX platform. These features are on our roadmap and planned for future platform updates.

📡 Reporting & Sensors

Eco 1 reports location and sensor data using cell tower triangulation combined with Wi-Fi–assisted positioning when nearby networks are available.

  • Default reporting interval: Every 4 hours

  • Reports are connection-dependent; if connectivity is unavailable, data is backfilled once a connection is restored

  • Automatic flight-safe mode disables transmissions when flight is detected to comply with air travel regulations, conserving battery. Normal operation resumes once the device confirms the shipment has landed.

Quick note: To change the reporting frequency from the default setting, please contact GPX Support at gpx.co. Reporting frequency changes are managed by the GPX team to ensure optimal battery performance.

If a location fix cannot be obtained, the device will still capture temperature and humidity readings, though these values may not appear visually on the map without a location reference.

🔋 Battery Life by Reporting Frequency

Battery life varies based on reporting configuration:

Reporting Interval

Upload Frequency

Estimated Battery Life

Every 4 hours (default)

Every 4 hours

2–2.5 months

Every 30 minutes

Uploaded every hour

~1 month

Every 15 minutes

Uploaded every 30 minutes

1.5–2.5 weeks

⚡ Activating Your Eco 1 Tracker

To power on the Eco 1:

  1. Press and hold the power button in the center of the tracker

  2. Hold for at least 3 seconds until a green LED appears (to the left of the button)

  3. Release the button — the device will begin reporting automatically

Quick Note:

  • It may take up to 30 minutes for the first position to appear on the map

  • The first report may not include battery, temperature, or humidity data

  • All subsequent reports will include full sensor information

Battery level typically starts around 85–88%, which is expected and factored into all battery life estimates.

📦 Placing Your Eco 1 Tracker

To install the tracker on your shipment:

  • Remove the protective film from the adhesive backing

  • Attach the device directly to the cargo or packaging, either inside or outside

  • Choose a location that minimizes crushing and avoids heavy metal obstruction

Quick Note: For best results, place the Eco 1 where it is protected but not shielded.

🗑️ Disposal of Tracker

After shipment completion:

  • Pry up the corner of the device to peel it off the cargo surface

  • Separate the electronic module from the plastic and cardboard components

  • Dispose of electronic components at designated recycling points
