🔧 Overview

GPX battery-powered trackers are designed for quick, flexible, and tool-free installation. Whether you're monitoring trailers, containers, or equipment, these trackers offer secure mounting with strong internal magnets and optional brackets—no hardwiring required.

📍 Recommended Placement

Tracker Type:

Ideal Mounting Areas:

AssetTrack / AssetTrack Charge

Flat metal surfaces (trailers, containers, heavy equipment)

AssetTrack Mini

Compact assets, hidden compartments, forklift bays

AssetTrack Voyager

Vehicle chassis, concealed asset locations, and undercarriage areas

MicroTrack

Inside toolboxes, compartments, drawers, or discreet locations

🔒 Tip: Choose a location that provides GPS line-of-sight but is not easily visible or accessible for added security.

🧲 Mounting Options

  • Built-In Magnets:
Most battery-powered trackers come with strong internal magnets that securely attach to metal surfaces.

  • Mounting Brackets (Optional):
AssetTrack Mini and others offer optional flanges or brackets for screw-mounting in non-metal areas.

  • Adhesive or Zip Ties:
Voyager Mini and MicroTrack can also be secured with adhesive or mounting tape, especially for portable or covert use.

⚠️ Best Practices

  • Avoid placing the tracker in areas fully enclosed in metal (e.g., sealed toolboxes), as it may reduce signal accuracy.

  • Label side should face outward or upward to maximize GPS and cellular signal strength.

  • Keep clear of moving parts, high heat zones (e.g., near engines), and frequent impact areas.

  • If using in a high-vibration environment, consider bracket mounting or extra securing with tape or straps.

  • After mounting, check the device’s signal by confirming its location in the GPX platform.

✅ Installation Example

  1. Clean the surface where the tracker will mount (dust-free for stronger hold).

  2. Place the tracker magnetically or use bracket screws/adhesive as applicable.

  3. Wait for first report to confirm signal; view it via your GPX dashboard.

  4. Optionally, rename the tracker and assign it to a group or geofence.
