If your RoadTrack Wired tracker is experiencing connectivity issues, a power cycle is a simple but effective first step. It can help clear minor glitches and restore normal reporting. If issues persist after rebooting, make sure the device has a strong signal and isn’t installed in an obstructed or enclosed space.

🔧 Power Cycle Instructions

  1. Unplug the device from the wiring harness.

  2. Locate the gasket on the side of the tracker and open it carefully.

  3. Inside, you’ll see the SIM card slot and the power switch.

  4. Toggle the switch to “OFF” and wait about 30 seconds.

  5. Toggle the switch back to “ON.”

    • The LED lights should illuminate:

      • Red = Power

      • Green = Cellular

      • Blue = GPS

    • LEDs will turn off after ~5 minutes to conserve energy.

  6. Reconnect the device to the wiring harness.

  7. Wait a moment—the device should begin reporting to the platform shortly.

💡 Troubleshooting Tip

Still having trouble after a reset? Try relocating the tracker to a more open area—away from thick metal, engine compartments, or enclosures—to improve signal strength.
